passion on paper

i have always loved the simplest of drawings. Just lines connecting together to form a master piece.

"a line is a dot taken for a walk"

the wise words of my very first art teacher in high school. and its always stuck with me. it makes the idea of drawing not seem so daunting or covered with pressures of perfection. i actually find the simpler drawings are the more appealing ones. its easier to grasp someones attention with swirls and twirls but the fine technique of a simple line drawing just mesmerizes me.

for me, drawing is the perfect therapy. even when its the simplest of doodles. it calms me down, frees my mind. allowing me to create scenes only found in my imagination. 

now being a post grad, i feel like iv lost touch with my drawing hobbie. in college it was a requirement to always sketch and create, whereas now i need to find time, between work, eating and sleeping (and the occasional party- my social life has been lacking some recently). life seems to have shifted for me and my creative side has been pushed to the back of the list, unfortunately.

so i am using this blog as the oppertunity to rekindle my relationship with design, and gives me the perfect platform to showcase my art, as well as share inspirationing artists and beautiful peices.

so im ready to dig out my pencil bag and sketch pads, and let the drawing begin.
