so i am proud to say i did my very first bit of freelance work (that i actually got paid for. with actual money). the client was a friend of mine, who needed some design help on her project. she is doing her post grad in marketing and for their final project they need to conceptualise an original product, raise funds, manufacture it and eventually sell it in the hopes of making a profit. they needed me to illustrate the cover of a student flip folder that they were producing. the idea behind this file is that it is vital to a student. something that every student would need, everyday. "the information station" as we called it.
as the image was going to be foiled to the product we decided to stick to vector graphics, keeping it simple and modern. using bold lines and out of the box ideas, we actually came up with a few pretty cool designs. although colour rendering is my absolute favorite, this job was a nice variation for the porti.
so overall, happy with the results :)
